Help for AltKeys setup
----------------------
This program can be used to configure your Boot-sequence
to use the Altkeys module permanently. Additionaly you may
specify some extra tables to be used by the module.

AltKeys is compatible with RISC OS 3.50 onwards. Please
note that it can *NOT* be used with previous versions of
the OS (such as 3.10) as the keyboard system works completely
different in those versions.

Using AltKeys setup
-------------------
The use of AltKeys setup is very straight forward. Select
the setting you want to use and load any additional tables
if you want to use them. Once complete, click 'Set' to save
your settings to disc. This will automatically put the
required items into your Boot-sequence.

Note for RISC OS 4 users
------------------------
RISC OS 4 users may want to install !AltSetup in the
configure directory, so that is can be accessed via the
normal Boot-Configure window. To do this, put it in:

  !Boot.RO400Hook.Res.Configure

Please note that you have to hold down the Shift-key whilst
opening the !Boot directory.

The settings for the Delete-key behaviour are greyed out
when used on RISC OS 4. This is because the behaviour of the
Delete key can be set elswhere (i.e. the keyboard section).

Using the AltKeys module
------------------------
If you want to use the AltKeys module, make sure that the first
option in the window (Use AltKeys module) is selected. You may
change any of the other settings as required. When you finally
click on 'Set' the program generates the neccessary files directly
into your boot-sequence.

External tables
---------------
Normally AltKeys uses a build-in table to convert your Alt-Key
sequences into valid ASCII characters. The build-in table is optimised
for use with most Latin-1 alphabet fonts. However, it is possible to
add your own soft-loadable tables as well. A set of 5 soft-loadable
tables is supplied as an example. Clicking 'Show tables' opens the
directory holding the default tables. These tables may be edited
using a standard text editor, such as !Edit.

A list is shown with the tables currently known by the program.
The first table (0) is the default one and cannot be deleted or
changed. You may click 'Clear' to clear the contents of the list.

Drag the required tables to the list and set the number of the table
you want to use by default. Finally click 'Set' to save the new
settings.

Delete key
----------
Under RISC OS 4 the behaviour of the Delete key can be set from the
Configure/Keyboard settings. Previous versions however, are lacking
this feature. For this reason, the command 'AltKey_DeleteKey' has
been implemented in the AltKeys module. It can be set to behave in
Acorn-style (i.e. backspace delete) or PC-style (i.e. forward delete).
If you have any other software that sets the behaviour of the Delete
key, you may tick the option 'Don't set'.
Under RISC OS 4 the 'Delete key' options are greyed out.

Euro sign
---------
By default, ASCII code 128 is used for the Euro sign, as recommended
under RISC OS 4. However most fonts are supplied with two variants of
the Euro sign. ASCII code 128 is generally used for the font-specific
version of the Euro sign and ASCII code 164 is used for the font-
independent version (i.e. the official Euro sign). If you come accross
any strange font with the Euro sign in a different location, you may
want to change this setting.
